The Witch at Lundy Cottage by Denise Hill - review

A boy called Micky has to learn how to ride a bike because he needs a job and his friends Katie and Peter try and teach him. But Katie falls down near a tree and she hurts her ankle.

The only place they can go for help is Lundy Cottage – the place where everyone says a witch lives! There's a big scary dog who guards the place. But the 'witch' instead of being horrid is kind, gives them tea, lets them feed the birds and let's Mickey have a job.

This book isn't as scary as it looks on the cover; in fact, I would say that it's a calm, and friendly read.
